The library provides a caring, learning environment, where the teaching and learning of students and staff is the main focus.
The library staff, in collaboration with teachers, encourage students to be independent learners, developing their information and communication skills, to access and use appropriate resources, and to communicate their ideas effectively.
The library fosters a love of reading, with an extensive fiction collection reflecting many different interests and reading abilities, targeting novels to support the reading program offered in English classes.
The library is open before and after school and at lunchtime, to meet the learning and recreational reading needs of the school community. It provides a wide range of relevant resources, services and technologies to satisfy the varied curriculum and recreational needs of its users. Print and online resources are available to support all areas of the curriculum. Computers are available for use in the library, or on trolleys for transport to classrooms. Two class areas are provided for research and reading classes, as well as private study areas.
