Inducted in to WPSC Hall of Fame 2009 for his contribution to Community Service:
Wilf was nominated to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, by a past student who recommended him for being a 'very caring gentleman [who] would have helped hundreds/thousands of needy folk…"
Wilf taught at Bourchier Street for 12 years, Wilmot Road for 16 months and then he resigned from teaching to become a full time youth leader at the Baptist Church.
Wilf's association with Wanganui Park began back in the 1970s, when Dorothy Roche approached him to work at Shepparton Girls' School' later becoming Wanganui Park. He was actively involved in the setup of this school and has helped make it what it is today.
In 1991, Wilf was elected president of the Baptist Union of Victoria.
In 1994 Wilf was appointed as assistant Principal. Wilf then retired from teaching and completed 5 years of part time study to gain Degrees in Christian Counselling and Family Therapy. Wilf continues to be involved at Wanganui Park by counselling students in his quiet, but caring way.
Wilf's contribution to Wanganui Park, his church and the wider community is exemplar.
